Travel Visas
International Travel
If you are traveling to Anaheim from outside the United States to attend the 2012 MDRT Annual Meeting, we recommend that you first
determine whether you will need a visa to enter the United States. Visit the following website to find the most current information
about U.S. visa policies and procedures: www.unitedstatesvisas.gov.
We strongly encourage you to apply for your visa early. Processing times vary depending on the visa office. If an interview is required,
you will be notified of the time and place. Although there is no guaranteed method, members who provide complete, well-prepared
information at the initial phase of the visa application process are more likely to receive a visa. Once a request for a visa is denied,
it is very difficult to reverse that decision.
Approved 2012 MDRT members will be able to download an official letter of invitation to submit with their
Visa application from the Annual Meeting section on MDRT's Web site.
Only approved 2012 MDRT members will be able to download this letter. Therefore, it is important to apply for 2012 membership early. If
members who register for the Annual Meeting are unable to obtain a visa, MDRT will give a full refund of the registration fee provided
that members submit proof before June 10, 2012, that their visa application was denied. Note:
Prepaid ticketed events are nonrefundable after April 29, 2012.
MDRT has no influence on a member's visa application for travel to the United States and is not responsible for the outcome of a member's
visa status. All decisions regarding visa applications are made by the local U.S. Embassy and U.S. Consulate officials.
Borders and Customs
All visitors entering the United States must clear U.S. Customs border security upon entry. Visitors to the United States can visit the Department of Homeland Security site at www.customs.gov/xp/cgov/travel for more information.
