Hisako Ohno is General Manager of Make A Wish of Japan's head office in Tokyo. A wish fulfilled can bring hope and happiness to a child with a life-threatening illness. Fulfilling such wishes is the work of Make A Wish Japan. But it is not just the child who benefits. The smile of a child who has had a dream come true brings joy to their parents and those who have been a part of granting the wish. Kazue Takayanagi, MD, PhD is a consultant pediatric surgeon and associate professor in the Department of Health Services Administration, Nippon Medical School, Tokyo, Japan. Her book, "What I Want You All To Know," co-authored with Dr. Patch Adams, is bringing new perspective into the medical industry. Following her studies on hospital management in the United States, Takayanagi returned to Japan determined to improve the healing process. As part of her work in the area of healing, she was instrumental in brining the Smile-Sun Method of laughter education to Japan and starting the laughter therapist training program sponsored by the Japan Society of Healing Environment. In her presentation, Dr. Takayanagi highlights the many health benefits of laughing and provides an introduction to the Smile-Sun Method.

Van Mueller, LUTCF, is a 19-year MDRT member with one Court of the Table and 16 Top of the Table honors. A Diamond Knight of the MDRT Foundation, Mueller has spoken at four MDRT Annual Meetings, as well as at the 1998 MDRT Experience in Singapore, and the 2004 meeting in Hong Kong. Mueller was a member of the Top of the Table Advisory Board in 2003 and 2004, and he has been a member of several MDRT committees and task forces. His success in business is due largely in part to his ability to build and sustain strong client relationships and produce 1,000-plus sales a year.

Akihiko Yamada is a nine-year MDRT member with nine Court of the Table and six Top of the Table qualifications. He started in the industry in 1997 and earned his executive life planner designation in a record period of only 27 months. Yamada has been a speaker at the 2007 MDRT Japan Chapter meeting and the 2007 MDRT Top of the Table Annual Meeting. Through MDRT, he has learned that it is good to be different. In his presentation, Yamada describes how he becomes a "financial concierge" to his clients by finding a common connection. He also shares creative methods he uses to network with potential clients.
