MDRT is proud to have 2008 MDRT President James E. Rogers, CLU, CFP, a 34-year member from Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, along with 2009 Top of the Table Chair and popular and highly-rated MDRT-member speaker Michelle L. Hoesly, a 29-year MDRT member from Norfolk, Virginia, speaking at each of these events.

They will speak about one of the most important topics facing the industry today "Baby Boomers and Retirement: The Problem and the Solutions."



James E. Rogers, CLU, CFP, is MDRTs 2007-2008 President, and a 35-year member from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. With 26 Top of the Table honors, he has served as a Chair and member of numerous Round Table committees, most recently serving as the 2004 Divisional Vice President of Strategic Relations. He is an Excalibur Knight of the MDRT Foundation and a Platinum Knight of the Canadian Million Dollar Round Table Foundation. Rogers is founder of Rogers Group Financial, a 51-person independent financial advisory firm that is now in its 35th year, in addition to being involved with numerous community activities. In 2001, Rogers was the first recipient of Advisors Edge magazines Career Achievement Award. The Financial Planners Standards Council also recently awarded him the 2008 Donald J. Johnston Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Profession of Financial Planning in Canada.





Michelle L. Hoesly, CLU, ChFC, is the 2008-2009 MDRT Top of the Table Chair, and only the second female to serve in the position since Top of the Tables forming. From Norfolk, Virginia, Hoesly is a 29-year MDRT member with three Court of the Table and five Top of the Table honors. Her leadership in the MDRT committee system includes serving twice as a Divisional Vice President and seven times as Chair. In addition to most recently serving as a member of the Top of the Table Advisory Board, she also served as a member of MDRTs Boomertirement Committee, Public Relations Committee, Leadership and Governance Task Force, and Finance and Budget Committee. In addition, she is a Platinum Knight and a past member of the MDRT Foundation Board. Hoesly is an internationally recognized speaker who has spoken at several MDRT Annual Meetings, including the 2009 MDRT Annual Meeting in Toronto, and has been quoted and interviewed on financial issues by numerous major publications. Her charitable interests include Make-A-Wish Foundation of Virginia, which she helped organize in 1985 and served as president of the founding board.
