MDRT welcomes Ontario financial advisor to leadership team

ONTARIO, CANADA (September 1, 2024) — MDRT, The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®, appointed Ontario-based financial advisor Aurora L. Tancock, CFP, FLMI, as Secretary of its 2025 Executive Committee. Tancock took office on September 1, bringing experienced insights and fresh perspectives to the organization’s leadership. Tancock is supporting the Executive Committee in enacting MDRT’s mission of providing personal and professional growth opportunities to its network of financial services professionals worldwide.

As Secretary, Tancock, along with her fellow Executive Committee members, will foster diverse, interactive opportunities to engage with the organization. This includes strengthening connections across the membership, staying at the forefront of industry advancements and delivering MDRT resources, inperson engagements and events like the Annual Meeting and Global Conference. The committee will also ensure that MDRT is investing in digital transformation, leveraging technology to improve access to MDRT resources. Additionally, the Executive Committee will provide oversight of the MDRT Family of Brands, including the MDRT Academy for advisors aiming to reach MDRT-level production, and the MDRT Center for Field Leadership for field and home office leaders seeking to improve their leadership skills and foster an MDRT culture of excellence in their firms.

Tancock is the founder of Aurora Tancock Financial Services Inc., a financial planning firm based in Ontario, Canada. She has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services profession and works toward educating clients on financial complexities. She is a 23-year member of MDRT with 13 Court of the Table and four Top of the Table qualifications.  

Tancock served as Chair of the Focus Sessions Committee for the 2023 MDRT Global Conference and as Global Council Member for MDRT’s Finance Division in 2020. She also has served on the Board of Trustees of the MDRT Foundation, for which she is a Diamond Knight and a member of its Inner Circle Society.

Gagne, ChFC, a 25-year member; First Vice President John F. Nichols, MSM, CLU, a 24-year member; and Second Vice President Clay Gillespie, CFP, CLU, a 23-year member.
