The SECURE 2.0 Act and what it means

Dave Alison and Tim Clairmont discuss the SECURE 2.0 Act, which overlays the original SECURE (Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement) Act. The new law, passed in 2022, includes several minor updates, including extending the RMD age, reducing penalties, increasing contributions to a QLAC and allowing for an IRA charitable rollover to a charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust.
