Integrity matters: The value of putting clients first

Always protect your clients’ interest, even if there’s a chance it could cost you sales, said D’Souza, a Top of the Table qualifier from the United Arab Emirates.

Setting goals on the journey from couch to 250K

A former couch potato, D’Souza stepped out of his comfort zone, set some aggressive life goals and ended up losing 130 pounds, becoming a crossfit junkie and running two 250-km Ultra Marathons across the Sahara Desert in the most inhospitable terrain and weather conditions he ever faced. In the process, he also transformed his work life, shortening his time at work to four to six hours a day, four days a week, from 12 hours a day, six days a week. In this session, he describes the formula of larger-than-life goals and a pressing need to do better than yesterday that drove him to not only changes in his personal life, but also qualify for Top of the Table and work only with right-fit clients.

Setting larger-than-life goals

Seven years ago, Top of the Table member Rickson D’Souza was quoted double for a life insurance policy for a person his age. He was morbidly obese and led a high-stress workaholic lifestyle. Health and well-being were at the bottom of his priority list. Since then, he exited his successful insurance company to work solo, dropped my working hours to nearly half, set and achieved every financial goal he set, shed 130 pounds and ran the Marathon des Sables — a 250-km ultramarathon across the Moroccan Sahara — twice. Listen as he explains his formula of larger than life goals, and a pressing need to do better than he did yesterday.

The power of serving right-fit clients

An increasing number of professionals today are striving for better work-life balance. More and more, people are drawn to the ”work less, earn more” concept. One surefire way to get there is to identify and work with right-fit clients. Top of the Table member Rickson D’Souza shares how pinning his right-fit client down to every detail has transformed the way he does business, helped him strategically shift to a four-day work week and achieve bigger results with a three-person team than he did with a 40-agent team.
